Who are we?

Established in 1972.
The name Dick Church's hit the sign in 1972, but the site has been a restaurant since 1947. First a burger joint, then a coffee shop until Dick made it into a full diner. The location is one of the longest continually opened restaurants in Orange County. We pride ourselves on good quality food, excellent service and a throwback to a warm old school vibe.

We're a comfortable place to hang with friends. Come as you are, all are welcome. Surfers, Skaters, College Professors, Plumbers, Punkers, Professionals and People who are retired all dine together in vintage orange booths. The super friendly staff will greet you immediately. Nice portions and a comprehensive selection of fresh made breakfast and lunch items abound. Nearly everything is house made including our chili and roasted turkeys. Plenty of parking, too! See you soon.

In 2017 restauranteur Bodie Rasmussen (Lost Bean Coffee, Lost Vine Wine Bar) bought Dick Church's from it's longtime owners, the King family. In 2020 Bodie and his wife Sarah (Christakis Greek Cuisine, Little Greek) brought in local Costa Mesa residents Tim and Tracy Taber as partners.

The people here are so sweet! It really adds to the experience. They clearly have a lot of regulars, and for good reason. It's been a while since I have had a real authentic and hearty American breakfast. If you're craving pancakes and eggs, or just a really good sandwich, then this is the spot to go. The servers were incredibly nice and attended to every need I had-they really went over the top! This is simply a great place to eat in the area. Not to busy or crowded, the food is fantastic, and the people make you feel at home. I loved it!
